Our Trip To The Country
We traveled up the freeway about 30 minutes to a large park that is situated on around 500 acres.
I decided this was a great way to spend the day because if we had stayed home I would have been forced to deal with all the Christmas decorations still all over our house.
Yes, this would definitely be more fun.
Except it was freezing outside. For those of you in the North West that would be around 50 degrees for us wimpy California people.
Paige was thrilled to feed the ducks.
Garrett had fun feeding them to0, they were really hungry. Ignore my fat butt and the very bright pink sweater I had on in the picture below please.

Paige rode on a Pony.
Her Dad walked her around the ring.
We took a train ride around the entire park. Even Jo Jo got to come with us.
Paige kept saying she wasn't cold. The rest of us were freezing.

We all fought over who got to hold the dog. She was a great hand warmer.
Here is Samantha's annoyed face at having to wait for her Dad while she is freezing. He seems to be enjoying his conversation over in the corner there with his friend and Garrett.
While we were waiting for hubby to finish his conversation Jo Jo decided she wanted to be a conductor.
Paige, not wanting to be out done by a dog, thought she would give it a try also.
Poor child, Laura Ingalls Wilder she is not.
Where ever we go our children complain that we always see someone we know. In the picture below Hubby has been called over to the pony area by a Dad that wanted to talk baseball. If your kid plays baseball within a 100 mile radius of our house you probably know my husband.

We hung out in the park for about 90 minutes and then the cold was just to much. We told the kids it was time to pack up.
As we were driving out of the park Paige asks me "Are we going back to the big city now"?
Umm, yes, honey. You will see the big city again in about 5 minutes. We are now leaving the big woods.
Poor child, Laura Ingalls Wilder she is not.

Looks fun. And cold?! Ha. It was 11 at my parents' house this a.m. ELEVEN.
We've had 26 below here...I think we'd all be stripped down to our underwear if it got to be 50 degrees!
Looks like a fun day!
Wow, it was 46 yesterday and we went out and played for an hour or so. Mari had a jacket on but I just had a long-sleeved t-shirt. Too funny!
Well, that looks like a lot of fun. My kids already miss being outside but, alas, they had better get used to it for a good 3 months yet!
That looks really fun! That is totally cracking me up that 50 degrees is too cold for you:)
Looks like fun!!! :)
