It's That Time Of Year Again.......
For the annual torturing of the children.

To get the holiday Christmas card picture.

It is not a process they enjoy.

I tried to make it more fun by taking the pictures at California Adventures and letting them wear what ever they wanted to. I didn't even complain about the shirt Garrett chose which happened to belong to both his older brothers first. I'm sure their was a new shirt in his drawer he could have chosen, but I SAID NOTHING.

My strategy didn't really seem to work. I still couldn't get them all to smile at one time.

Tyler, on the right, wouldn't smile at all. When I asked him to he said he already was. Really?

They started to ignore me completely and instead were looking around to chose the next ride they could go on together.
Well, they may be a bunch of stinkers but they are my stinkers. Paige is trying to show everyone how they SHOULD be smiling in the picture below.

Maybe I could photo shop each of the kids best pictures into one photo? Except their is one problem. I don't own photo shop and if I did I am sure I could not figure out how to work it.

I want to assure all of you that, No, I did not yell and scream at them to smile dang it!

No, I did not do that even once.

Stay tuned to our blog - getting our family photo done this year was a similar feat of self-control vs. total exasperation. Suffice it to say, our 1 year old was a problem. Smiles and laughs all day long. Plays to the camera, even when it's docked in its charger. Till the day of family photos. :(

Great pictures in spite of only 75% cooperation. I only had two boys and one would always dig his heels in. Thank you for visiting my new blog. I think you came from Kelli's right? Hope to see you again. Let's keep praying hard for our sweet friend.

eh, just do it the old fashioned way. Print each picture, literally cut them apart and glue them down together and get 'em printed.

Hey, it would be funny!

Oh, yes! You'd think it wouldn't be hard for them all to look nice and smile for ONE PICTURE! BTDT! BTW, I like pics 1, 5, & 7 the best. Paige looks so cute with her fingers making her smile.

I can't imagine trying to get that many people to smile their best all at once.

Actually, we had 20 of our family members (mostly adults) have a picture a couple years ago. Let's just say there is at least one screaming child in the picture!

I think it is difficult enough to get two kids to smile at the same time. You have your work cut out for you!

We still have to do that...Ugh! Last year I couldn't get everyone together so we did a card that had nine separate photos on it. Maybe we'll have to do that again.
