The Perfect Date
Yesterday hubby and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. I know it sounds cliche but I have NO IDEA where all that time has gone. 23 years? I thought only old people were married that long and I am definitely NOT OLD. Ahemm.
Anywho, we slept in yesterday as oldest son didn't get home from the airport until 2:30 in the morning and then by the time we all got to bed (after I hugged and kissed him more times than he would have liked) it was almost time to get up for church. Needless to say we slept through the alarm and had a lazy day at home yesterday.
We watched movies and just hung out. Then around 7:00 we went out for a late dinner all by ourselves, and actually had a long conversation without interruption. Fantastic.
Then, just like the whipped cream on the top of your hot fudge sundae, we went to Barnes and Noble and picked up a few summer reads for out by the pool.
I think that was the best anniversary ever. Very relaxed and restful.
This morning hubby was up at 3:00 a.m. to catch a flight to Boston for a meeting. It seems I can't keep the boys in my life all in the same house lately.
