I am going to cheat a little hear and give you the recipe for this really really easy homemade Strawberry pie originally given to me by my friend Kathy. It has become a family favoirte. One of the best things about living in California is all the fresh fruit stands on the corner come spring time.
Crust: (Mix and press in pie pan)
1 1/2 C Flour
1/2 C Vegetable Oil
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
Poke lots of holes in crust with fork and bake at 400 for 10-12 min.
Glaze: Boil together until thickened.
2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
dash of salt
1 cup water
Remove from heat and add 2 Tbsp. strawberry jello.
Cool for around 10 minutes and then pour over strawberries which you have placed on your crust.
Enjoy!!! Your family will be very impressed.
Blessings,
Julie
